Policy Makers

For Policymakers:
Climate Change is a Moral Problem
that Requires Moral Leadership

We call on our national leaders to take action now to reduce the threat of global climate change. The most important immediate step that can be taken at the federal level is to pass and implement national legislation requiring sufficient economy-wide reductions in carbon dioxide emissions through cost-effective, market-based mechanisms such as a cap-and-trade program. Our Evangelical Call to Action, signed by more than 170 senior evangelical leaders, outlines our concern, and our Principles for Federal Climate Change Policy provides additional recommendations.
